Soho House New York
Day 1 - Arriving in NYC
We departed London Heathrow at 12:55 and we landed in NYC at 4:10pm. Dinner was booked for 8:30pm and we just about made this booking as we picked up an Uber from John F Kennedy to the Soho House New York hotel. The traffic is very bad.
A day of exploring! We had breakfast at WILD (the NYC branch). I had fruit and pancake - it was super tasty. The decor was wholesome; their hashtag is #EATDRINKWILD (www.eatdrinkwild.com). We then walked to Dumbo crossing the Manhattan Bridge (we may have gotten a little lost). We visited Dumbo House, the Timeout market, where there was local sellers and the coffee place Butler.
We started the day off making our way to Ellen Stardust Diner. I had read Monday morning would be the best time to go as it was first come first serve. We ended up waiting approximately 45 minutes. There was also a souvenir shop close by we popped in there to pass some time.
After enjoying our time at the Diner (it did feel rushed), we made our way to the Rockefeller Tree and Ice Rink. Thankfully, I picked up ice skating quick enough to enjoy my time. A bonus was there were two proposals which were super sweet and romantic!
We then headed to Lotte New York Palace (a gossip girl destination where Serena stays). There was a gold and red Christmas Tree. We walked to Bryant Christmas market for dinner! Very Christmassy!
We walked into town, where we found Andrews Diner near Times Square. I had an American Omelette; it was great as it set me up for the day.
We ventured into Central Park and enjoyed the sun. Next, we went to Pier 78 to catch the ferry to tour the Statue of Liberty & Brooklyn Bridge. (we booked via getyourguide.com).
In the evening, we watched Moulin Rouge. The stage settings were creative - the cast were great.
Soho House annual festival has been a must-go event for me. The ticket includes unlimited food, drinks and fun fair rides! There were multiple stages to accommodate different music tastes. In addition, there was a section to create your festival look - hair and makeup!
June 2023
Ascot Racecourse
A day the races at Ascot is just as much a sporting event as it is a fashion event. Depending on which enclosure you choose depends on the dress code. Although, for Royal Ascot, most people are either in suits or dresses. On this occasion, I purchased a ticket for the Windsor Enclosure. In truth, it was super sunny this day and reached 27 centigrade. The shaded areas became crowded and I did see a person collapsed. Highly recommend drinking lots of water and the Queen Anne Enclosure.
I loved N-Dubz growing up! They were super popular when I was in school. The concert was amazing!
August 2022
Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup
The Ascot Races was a fabulous day with great weather, great laughs, and a great sing-along with The Hoosiers, Marvin Humes, and Clean Bandit. It is a a great place to dress up and enjoy the sun.
June 2022
Ed Sheeran
One thing I do love is going to a live concert! There is nothing like seeing a singer/performer live. Ed Sheehan personalises every performance as it is just him, his guitar, and the loop station (most of the time)!
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the place to find all things you need for your garden! There are so many creative gardens to find ideas from and so many plants to choose to buy from. We cannot forget to mention the unique sculptures and water features available! The theme for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022 was Queen Elizabeth - the first photo is stunning!
It's also a great day out as there is live music, food, and drinks available when you need to find a place to sit after enjoying so much nature!
DISHOOM
I have to say if you are looking for really really good food filled with a wide range spices and dishes in London - the restaurant has got to be Dishoom!
I took the photo at the Kings Cross one!
Absolutely love! <3
I spent Easter break at The Celtic Manor in Newport, South Wales. The weather was very sunny which meant I could spend time out in the sunshine and watch over the green. The Hunter Lodge was absolutely amazing for a small group.
March 2022
It’s my birthday month!
I had a birthday dinner at the Dalloway Terrace. The fish and chips are super tasty; the environment is super floral!
I went to Winter Wonderland in London. It is a fabulous day out with lots on offer. It is very festive!
The food highlight for February 2022 was the Oxo Tower. It is a lovely venue with a great view of the Thames and St Paul's Cathedral. The cocktails are stunning; the food was great!
Summer is over and we enter Autumn! The weddings were cosy with fairy lights and it started with drinks at 100 Wardour in Soho. They do brilliant cocktails and they had a Mexican theme which just added to the atmosphere!
I attended an English wedding in October at the Coombe Lodge, Blagdon. The place is located in North Somerset. It is a gorgeous wedding venue with the traditional English Manor House look.
At the beginning of November, I went to Windsor Racecourse for their firework display! Great firework display with a Jurassic theme! Later in the month, there was a beautiful teepee wedding. There were fairy lights, a firepit, and wooden beams. As it was November the nights are cold entering a warm teepee made the event super cosy!
Summer 2021 was three months of catching up with friends and family - filled with baby showers and birthdays!
For the food lover - the highlight for Summer 2021 would be Crazy Bear Beaconsfield. The customer service, the decor, and the food were of a high standard. I had the lobster for lunch - it was super tasty, and the cocktails were delicious too. There is a rooftop pool where you can drink and have snacks poolside. Crazy Bear Beaconsfield is a must - highly recommend!
I also visited Freya Cafe in London this summer, and it is amazingly pink inside. The Rose Avo Toast was great for brunch and, the vanilla latte was so pretty and heavenly (I am a coffee lover).
This month was super sunny with two bank holidays!
I visited a few lovely restaurants; the food was super yummy.
Please see the following list for the restaurants;
London House Gordon Ramsey (Battersea)
Beaufort House (Chelsea)
Peggy Porschen (Chelsea)
The Goat (Chelsea)
Recommendations:- Steak at London House; strawberry panna cotta at Beaufort House and cake at Peggy Porschen
Chelsea has historical London architecture and signs explaining the history. It is these little things that add a life - a story to London. I always love an adventure in the city.
I cannot wait for the summer!
February to April 2021
London continues through its easing of lockdown road. On the 12th of April 2021, non-essential retail reopens and we can sit outside at restaurants.
Between February to April 2021, I have made most of my purchases online purely for convenience. I even purchased a top with the quote "This country beat the great depression and so can you" by @dylanowenmusic.
Stay safe, stay healthy and keep smiling!
November 2020 to
January 2021
We are in 2021 now! This Christmas was so different as London was in Tier 4 which meant all restaurants were closed for mid-late December. I was lucky enough to go out at the beginning of December to catch some of the Christmas spirit.
New Years' was fun - I was holding a sparkler and a glass of champagne whilst watching the neighbour's fireworks.
January - the beginning of 2021! I am so ready for the year - let's get through it. We will overcome Lockdown 3.0!
I wish you all the best in love, happiness, wealth, and fulfillment for 2021!

The clocks go back, the leaves turn brown, and the crisp cold air arrives. October was filled with hope as restaurants were open and many more people out about in London.
I wanted to do a food crawl through Chelsea’s restaurants, however, you know what they say about best-made plans. My eyes are always larger than my stomach haha. There are few places I would like to visit - please see the following in no particular order;
Humble Pizza (it's a pink pizza place!)
Peggy Porschen (cupcakes look amazing)
Bluebird Chelsea (it's on Made on Chelsea..)
The Ivy Chelsea (flowers galore)
Stanley Cafe
I am sure there are many more places. I will add them to a later post!
In October, I did manage to visit The Ivy Chelsea Garden for breakfast, Bluebird Chelsea for after-dinner drinks, and Stanley Cafe for dinner. (Not all in one day!)
The breakfast at The Ivy Chelsea Garden was delicious. I ate the Smoked Salmon Crumpet - super tasty! The Bluebird Terrace was great for after-dinner drinks; the terrace was comfortable in the Autumn cold weather as they had heating outside. Lastly, I chose to have the rib eye steak for dinner at the Stanley Cafe; it was memorable as I selected to have it medium rare - perfect! Highly recommend!
London has a variety of restaurants; I cannot wait to visit many more.
Christmas is fast approaching?! Have you started shopping? Last year I left it till Christmas Eve - not doing that again! Haha!
A week after my holiday the UK went into lockdown. Restaurants, offices, hair salons, and schools had closed. It was so strange. I had just been on 4 flights surrounded by people to then being advised to work from home and standing 2 metres away from anyone in another household.
I had landed on my birthday so I missed out on celebrating and many more events were cancelled, even some in September due to government changes. BUT on a positive note, I had managed to watch all the Marvel films in order! I also figured out that you can send birthday cards abroad through Moonpig; random I know. I also managed to clear out my wardrobe and books that I have not read.
Thankfully in the last month or so lockdown has eased and I have managed to return to work. It feels a little more normal, however, they have just introduced a 10 pm curfew. Even so, I have enjoyed some lovely meals in the last couple of months and made the most of the Eat Out Help Out Scheme. This included the Coppaclub by Tower Bridge, The Ivy by Tower Bridge as well, No. 197 Chiswick Fire Station, EixtySix Restaurant and Bar in Harrow as well as Bluebird Cafe White City. London has soooo many restaurant options; I am so grateful they have reopened! Cannot wait to go to many more. A list is pending… haha :)
I almost forgot to mention my hair. Think of Janice from Friends and say ‘Oh. My. God.’ because I tried to save money for my holiday, I thought I would book a hair appointment when I came back and my luck had run out. I booked a full head of highlights at Gatsby and Miller as soon as I could. They did a brilliant job! Now I have short blond hair, yay! <3 love love love.
Thanks for reading! I will do my next post much sooner!
In November 2019 I went to Salon64 in Soho, London UK for my full head of highlights, and in the magazine, I was reading I came across a Hugo Boss advert featuring Chris Hemsworth and thought of my Australian friend. On the 4th March, I was at London Heathrow boarding a British Airways plane to Brisbane Australia by myself. My mini-adventure began...
Days 1 to 3
The first few days I spent exploring Brisbane. I visited the Stanton Cafe for a latte, walked through the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, The University of Brisbane campus, Dry Dock, and the floral archways. The second day, I took a photo of the Brisbane sign, passed the Wheel of Brisbane, and walked alongside the Brisbane River. On the third day, Kim and I went for a hike on Mount Glorious. This was an adventure - to visit the waterfall we had to hike down a steep hill and a rocky stream. Once we arrived we cracked open a bottle of wine, had some bread and Haribos.
Days 4 to 7 Day
I traveled to the Airlie Beach on the Whitsunday Islands and stayed in an apartment at the Pinnacle Resort. The first night I had dinner at the Anchor Bar Airlie Beach, the food was lovely. The next day I went on an Ocean Rafting experience to Hamilton Beach, the sand was AMAZING and I was lucky to see a turtle swimming by which also reminded me of Crush from Nemo! I also ate a traditional Australian Lamington, yum. After such an adventurous day I ate cheese, wine and crackers.
Day 8 & 9
Last night my friend drove us to Cobbs Harbour, New South Wales. I visited The Big Banana, the Woolgoolga Headland, Woolgoolga beach, and Korora Lookout. I saw wild Kangaroos and joeys feet. We drove back to Brisbane and had a chilled night in.
Day 10
We visited the Lone Koala Pine Sanctuary where I got the opportunity to hold a Koala. They are super cute and light. There is even a retirement home for them there. In the evening we ventured to Mr Percivals to have cocktails on the Brisbane River. This was an amazing last night in Australia.
‘With Ted’ by Ted Baker
Saturday 1st February 2020 - ‘With Ted’
On a sunny morning on the 1st February I ventured into Central London. Covent Garden to be precise to attend Ted Baker's beauty launch of 'With Ted' cosmetics where Victoria (IntheFrow) and the makeup artist Andrew Gallimore were showcasing the range.
I had a lovely relaxing morning which was spent with like-minded ladies. We shared our admiration of Victorias’ (inthefrow) Youtube Channel and how we had been to similar events to this one.
I am far from a specialist in make up and admire those who can recommend and knowledgeable about the make up industry. The design of the products are beautiful with a black and gold design. I would also like to note the products are vegan friendly and cruelty free.
